Default 1997 5.9L Diesel Bogs down and dies...please help

Hello all. I am a new diesel owner. I have a 1997 5.9L 12valve cummins 1-ton that when I start to drive it in the morning or when it sits at idle for 10 minutes or so then i drive it, the engine will bog down and die. I have owned this vehicle since January. When i got it i didnt have this problem. It started about 2 months ago and seems to be getting worse with time. Any ideas? I am going to try the fuel filter when i get back in town on monday. I have read about unplugging something on the turbo, but cant remember what it was called or exactly where it was located. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like a fuel problem, could be the filter, the screen in the fuel heater, lift pump, pluged/leaking fuel lines, overflow valve... really need a fuel pressure gauge to figure it out quickly, otherwise you just end up throwing parts at it untill its fixed
