Is there a more reliable system then the air dog.I see alot of them here in colorado when I get doges through are shop as trade in's

There is F.A.S.S, AirDog, Raptor, Airtex, etc. The pumps are all about the same, as long as the pressure is above 10 psi at wide open throttle, and above 14 psi at idle.
This is why the use of a fuel pressure gauge is of great necessity. The injection pump needs to have plenty of fuel to use and cool with. The relief valve is set to 14 psi, so you need a pump that can pump enough fuel to both cool, lubricate, and supply enough fuel for everything.
