Default camshaft position sensor?

Hey guys I'm stuck 210 kms away from my house. I got gas at a gas station and about 10 km later my "water in diesel" light came on and everytime I would come to a stop light and idle it would shake like crazy so I pulled into a gas station and it died. So I tried to start it again and now I have tons of exhaust coming out of my air box and had a really loud knock. I ran my scanner and it came up P0341 and that's camshaft position sensor performance. Would the camshaft position sensor do this?

You put gas in it? That might be your first problem.

Did you drain your water separator?

If you've got exhaust coming out your intake, it's not the sensor that's causing it. It sounds like you have some major problems - bent valves, messed up cam gears, something.

Yes I drained the water separator and by gas I meant diesel. And everything mechanical is fine it was running beautifully before I put this stupid gas in it. And the tow truck driver called me tonight (who towed my truck) and he towed 3 other diesels home that broke down because of the water in the diesel from the same gas station. But after the water light came on everytime I'd idle it would shake like crazy. I talked to a diesel mechanic and he said nothing to worry about I just have to drain the tank and change the fuel filter and everything should be awesome.

Have it towed to a dealer and document everything, then send the bill to the gas station.
