Default new cummins engine

i see my old cowboy hero sam elliot talking about the new ram, the ad says the new engine output in terms of torque is 800 ft/lbs. is this stock? or with an add-on? my engine started out stock at 625 then the 6.7 went to 650 that was first half of '07 then second half '07, then the years following to '10 were the same, what is up now? inquiring minds want to know.

That is the new HO engine only available with an automatic, helps compete with Furd and GM

Default thanks

thanks taz, that is a big boost from stock, it cost me well over a grand for just over that increase, but i still like my 5.9 better.

Default fuel mileage

I wonder how this it affects the fuel consumption? My last Diesel was a 2006 duramax 6 spd and I got subpar fuel mileage 16 MPG mostly Highway driving. I miss my 5.9 cummins, (19 MPG).

6xx ftlbs is enough for me at ~1600rpm. I too like the 19mpg empty. My father has a 2009 6.7 and he struggles to get his mileage to 17mpg. I cannot imagine mpgs increase with the power hike.
