Post wheel hub bearing timken or MAC

I have a 2006 Dodge Mega Cab 2500.I'm not sure if i have a bad hub bearing or not.Right front drivers side makes a light metal to metal sound as wheel turns,I changed pads, and turned the rotors but still have the noise. There is no play.Is there another way to verify bad hub bearings?Another ? is which part is better the Tim ken or MAC which I found on ebay at a third of the price? Thanks for your help.

I could feel mine when rotating the wheel when each of mine failed on my 1500.
You can't go wrong with a Timken.

Pull the caliper and spin the wheel. Do you still hear the noise?

Anecdotally I was sold a wheel bearing for my airplane which the supplier advised was a Timken bearing. Turned out it was not. It did not fit well and the seal separated from the bearing. I bought a genuine Timken bearing and the quality difference was readily apparent. Don't buy a cheap bearing; you will be disappointed.

I could hear noise from both front wheels, even after changing all the ball joints and bushes on the fron suspension, I thought it might be the wheel bearings as the truck has done 130000km, and as no one ever maintains their cars here in Brasil, suspected they were still the original bearings
I removed the break calibre and spun the wheel and could hear the rough bearing.
I then removed the hub assembly and pressed out the centre, sure enough thre bearings were shot. Now trying to find new bearings all round.

I did the DynaTrack free spinning hubs, expensive but I'm getting 1.5 MPG better and the bearings are Timken. Maintenance and service/ability is much improved. With someone who has done Doge Front end bearings the job took less then 4 Hours. No complaints at this time 2K miles on them.
