Default Remanned injectors all the same?

It's been a while since I have been on here, but I have a couple of questions that none of my local shops, etc. can answer. I need injectors in my truck, at least 2 are tapping, getting hazing at idle. My question is - are all remanufactured injectors the same? I see prices that vary by as much as $200 for one remanned injector. Do some folks really mark these up that much, or do some do a better job of remanufacturing? By the way, my truck is 04.5 CTD with almost 139k.

Thanks,

Mike

I would say, like most reman parts, they are probably done by one or two different places.

They are the same, as far as they are all Bosch injectors. While I don't know every place that does them, the majority are sourced from just a few shops. Mine are remans from Cummins (sent to Bosch for rebuild) and were the lowest price I could find. If you have a Cummins shop nearby, give them a call.

Or give companies like T&C Diesel and Exergy a call and see what they can get you.
