Red face Head Light Variations

I am buying an 06 3500 Larimie and will conisder replacing the head lights.
Does anybody know if any of the OEM headlight assemblies for the 06 are interchangable or different from one another? ( Will and 09 fit and 06?) I am not too fond of the aftermarket headlight assmeblies, but I didn't know if the OEM products had slight variations yet still were interchangable. I have not been able to detect much difference in the trim levels associated with head light assembly. I comare it to how ford had variations of head lights yet fit the same truck. Anybody know any websites that have a wide assortment of headlight assemblies?

Thanks,

Thanks, it seems I noticed that some of the lenses were in the front and then some actaully came over the top of the fender. Since I askd the question, I realized the newer models wont interchange.

03-05 have scalloped headlights (bumpy bottom)
06-08 have the larger enclosures that cover part of the 'fender'
06 is the only exception to the last group in design as they have an amber strip across the bottom of the enclosure. 07-08 have slightly larger reflectors and imho have better light output compared to the 06's.. If you search my threads, you'll see I've complained about this quite often, and have recently solved the issue with aux. lights.

Thanks, I was going to clean up the lenses which are beginning to yellow, but in case I wanted to just replace the headlight assembly, I know what to choose. Some of the aftermarket assemblies with the projector beam probably work well, but not a fan of the look.

Thanks.

That, and I'd be wary of a lot of 'ebay' enclosures.. most people find they are worse than what we have now... I cannot imagine the enclosures being worse...

I'm not 100% certain, but 03 to 06 tail lights should be interchangeable. 07-Gen4 are the same size, but the bulb carrier is different IIRC, so they don't interchange back to pre 07.
