Default 5.9 6 speed programmer?

I have a 2006 5.9l 6 speed and was wondering what programmer would be best

EFILive or Smarty are the best, period.

A lot of guys are running the EFIlive. Skip the smarty the efi will do better than the smarty anyway

smarty or EFIlive is the way to go...might wanna upgrade your lift pump and clutch and throw some gauges on there before you throw one of those on there...it will definitely burn up a stock clutch, and suck fuel harder than your stock lift pump can keep up with...

for gauges I would suggest EGT, Boost, Rail Pressure, and fuel pressure.

fuel pressure is really an optional gauge on your truck (mandatory gauge on a 2nd gen 24v) but you definitely want the rail pressure, boost, and egt gauges. If you had an automatic, I would say trans temp too, but that is also optional for a manual. G56 trans aren't known for overheating because of the aluminum case..NV5600's are cast iron.
