6.7 ltr cummins problems
I have a 2008 2500 cummins that is reading a p127e fuel pump control and a p2563 position sensor circuit performance turbocharger code. I was wondering if anyone would know how easy this is to fix and if this is covered under warrenty as I still have warrenty left of the drive train. I would appreciate any help as it is going into the shop next week and I would like a heads up on the situation. Thanks for any help I could recieve on the matter
If that turbo code is what I think it is (trying to remember off the top of my head) it may be that you need a turbo, or the turbo needs to get cleaned. Do you use your exhaust brake frequently?
I dont use my exaust break very often but I have used it when pulling a camper. I was thinking the same thing about the turbo. I had it in the shop 2 weeks ago and they said it was the egr filter and I had it cleaned. when I got it back it did the same thing as before so I hooked up my own diagnostics (cortex superchip) and this is what it told me. it will be interesting to see what they come up with this time
EGR filter?? It's got an EGR cooler, which fills with soot, along with the rest of the intake manifold.
You should use your exhaust brake as much as possible - it helps to keep the VGT system from gumming up and it will make your service brakes last a lot longer.
