Default help ive got bad vibes

i think i have a u-joint going bad but im not sure. the truck doesn't clunk or squeak but it does get a moderate vibration from 35 mph on up through highway speeds. at first i though it was an out of balance wheel but wouldn't that be a constant vibration, not just while the truck is under acceleration and while its on cruise control? my vibes go away when im decelerating which is what led me to think its the u-joint. basically im wondering if anyone else has had this happen and what the cost/difficulty is to do it myself

Could be a u-joint. Best thing to do is jack the rear wheels up and try to wiggle each u-joint and check for play. Also inspect the front driveshaft and axles to.

Also try checking the CV joint in the front driveshaft. My original was not greasable but when it went the new one has a fitting for a needle greaser(nice)

it was the rear u joint. the stealership wanted 125 for the part and another 150 in labor. napa wanted 33.50 for a better part and even though i could have figured it out i ended up paying 127.50 to be shown the right way to do it so now i can do the others if they go
