Default Edge EZ?

Would this be a good investment? The transmission has been rebuilt, remais stock, also with a brand new vp44 system, lift pump, lines and injectors, all stock. Will it be fine on the tranny and VP44? If i get one will it make the truck smoke alot? and if i do get one i will be getting a fuel pressure guage too. ON a side note does any one have one available for a 98?

Depends what you are going to use it for. Have you replaced your lift pump yet with Air dog or Fass?
I have a basic SuperChips PCM programmer for mine. I just tune it for towing mode and leave it. Came with the truck when I bought it.
My truck is stock except for lift pump and a fuel pressure gauge and runs just fine.
I tow a 7700 lb trailer loaded and seems to pull just fine for what I need.

Ah. Ok.
Yeah I looked those EZ chips up and get some pretty good reviews.
Looked pretty good to me and impressive numbers for HP and torque.
I know it is not a full blown programmer but a mild chip which works for me.
My lift pump is set for 19 lbs so fuel delivery should not be a problem.

I ordered one so when I get it installed, I will let you know how it works out.

upgrade your lift pump to at least a raptor pump if not an airdog or fass (and NO DDRP!!!)

once lift pump is upgraded, sure plug it in...its just a mild 65hp box that plugs into the data port under the hood. wiretap fueling is what will get you into trouble with your trans without building it first..edge comp and quad adrenaline use wiretap plus canbus (data port) fueling to make their much higher power numbers...

Yeah I think I would not attempt any mod without an upgraded LP.
In fact, it was your suggestion that I get the Raptor and has been a great LP!

pureflow is a good company.

I've had my airdog on my truck for 3 years with no issues. infact I pulled the pump apart a couple weeks ago diagnosing a fuel pressure issue (turned out to be leaking isolator for fp gauge) and the pump still looks brand new inside its internals!

he'll need to build his trans for that unless he can refrain from hooking up the wire tap... wire tap fueling will shorten that transmissions life from years to days..
