I agree with Jigabop.
Stay away from the 6.7, I know there are a lot of 6.7 owners here that will tell you how great they are.
Everyone that I personally know that has one would rather have the 5.9.

In my area you can get a 2006-2007 1/2 with a 5.9 for $25,000-30K all day long.
At $30K it is a lower milage rig.

thanks for the info guys I appreciate it. I am gonna have to do some more research. If I cant find a programmer to do the deletes then I am gonna have to rethink getting a newer truck.

The early 07 and older with a 5.9 do not have any EGR or DPFs on them.
They do have a rezonator or catalitic converter that you can remove to get bettter flow/sound but this does not require a programmer to compensate.

I just bought a 2012 Ram and within 300 miles I had to take a nice 45 minute drive to clean out the DPF, annoying!! I got really bad mileage, same as a 3/4 ton gasser. But after spending around $1400 and straight piped it and shut of the EGR, didn't delete it its still there just not doing anything, I love it! Tons of power, much better mileage and fun to drive. H&S is the best programmer to get but good luck finding one you can do that deletes with, last one I saw was $2000+. You can still get a H&S xrt pro or a Smarty tune for decent money if you know someone with the software already. If I was you look for one with the deletes already done or find a good 5.9, but the 6.7 is awesome with the deletes!! Happy shopping
