This is correct.

So does this mean that the engine warranty will be effected?
Or just the exhaust system?

It depends on what the mods or deletes are. If any failure is directly caused by the modification it will not be covered under warranty. That is the simplest way to say it. The dealer may report the mods which would put a warranty restriction on the vehicle for emissions or powertrain which in turn would prevent any service contract claims from getting paid.

There are many variables and not just a yes or no answer.

So as long as there are no trips to the dealer or attempts to make a warranty claim, his warranty should not be affected.

Its why I kept the stock exhaust and filters! Haha,

I installed a pyro on my pickup, as well as set turbo/pyro defuel levels. I was directly told that just by doing to it might improve your chances or POSSIBLY retaining your warranty. Because the tuners still leave a small trace on your computer, and keep a log internally, you might be able to prove your running your truck with safe levels. I don't believe it totally...All I am running the pyro for is to keep my temp down. I keep it within the safe levels, so in theory I shouldn't have issues, or even have to go to dealer. Unless I have a catastrophic failure, I should be ok.

Tell that to the people who were told to pound sand by dealers who saw Edge Insights in their trucks... which don't alter ANYTHING.
