Yes you can get better mpg out of it... get a scan tool from http://www.scantool.net/obdlink-mx.html and the app Torque (or similar) where you can monitor your IATs & coolant temps. Block the front grille from behind and block the air intake from the front. Then add a couple of flex hoses going from the exhaust manifold towards the areas where the airbox draws in air. This will get you a good bang for the buck as it wont cost more than $20~30 bux. Watch your coolant temps and IATs for a few days so you know where they are with the mods in place.

Next up, ditch all the factory fluids and switch to either Amsoil or Royal Purple (what I use). Add air to the tires to the point where the handing gets funky, then you've gone too far and drop it 5psi or so.

At stop lights pop it into neutral if its an auto.
