you can't run 2-cycle oil with a 6.7L...it will really clog up the emissions controls...

you can still run additives like optilube that is ULSD compliant.

but 2-cycle + 6.7L without deletes = bad news for the DPF, VGT, and intake.

The additives won't bother the VGT, and they shouldn't have much of an impact on the EGR system, but they'll definitely screw with the DPF.

OK guys......I'm not a total boob when it comes to gas emissions but, what the hell is DPF & VGT?

VGT is the variable geometry turbo
DPF is the diesel particulate filter

The DPF is in the exhaust and collects the soot, so you don't leave clouds of black smoke. Between the DPF and the catalytic converter, your OE exhaust system costs between $5-7k to replace, should you ever have to replace it out of pocket.

Check for the plug stuck up behind the bumper of the pickup. If you have towhooks, it might be right beside the passenger tow hook. When you turn the key on your pickup, an orange coil lights up and goes out when its ready to start. If its cold you can shut the key back off after it cycles and turn the key back on--this cycles the manifold heater which will help start in colder weather. You shouldn't even need to think about plugging it in until 28-30.
