Real idiots dont reed thier liitle red books in the glove box... For 2006 Ram 2500 G-56 transmisson and the getrag man versions for the 4.7 it clearly states...mopar automatic transmisson fluid....

As for drving a g56 behind the hemi, its not a nasscar racer as booth CTD and hemi verisons are geared lower than you want for racing, but for towing and mini mountain moving at highway speeds...The G-56 is the cats purrr...

Gears in a transmisson accomplish the same tasks so its not abnormal to use automatic transmssion fluid, thiers no value body, no tourque converter in the g-56 and no coumputer crap senors.

Transmisson fluid and power steering fluid are pretty much the same deal, but Ford, GM and dodge have thier own fluids..
