Been looking at MBRP Dual Exhaust for my 2015 Ram 2500 Diesel truck, under the description it says not recommended for trucks with in-bed Gooseneck hitch/5th wheel hitch. So i called the company up that i found the one i wanted and asked them about the fitment. The guy told me it might or might not fit, MBRP just put the disclaimer so there not at fault if it doesn't fit. I asked if it would fit for sure if i removed the gooseneck/5th wheel hitches and he said yes. So i ordered it and figure if it doesn't fit i can remove my hitches temporarly untill i figure what needs to be adjusted or cut and welded. Has anyone else tried to put duals under there factory hitches.

 

No real benefit from dual exhaust. It will look good, however as you found out. You will have to customize it some to fit. The issue is the 5th wheel support on the underside of the bed.

 

I was hopeing to only have to remove the 5th wheel because i wont use it but the gooseneck i need. I have always liked the look of duel exhaust which is why i got filter back which is only pipe nothing else, well for now anyway.

 

You maybe able to find a place that can do custom exhaust. It will be expensive. Good lick hope you find something.

 

We got the exhaust in today and pulled the stock pipe out and started fitting the new exhaust in. Found out the exhaust has no issues with the 5th wheel or gooseneck hitches, but it seems to sit several inches too close to the rear axle and the track bar bracket hits it. So im looking into a short piece of 4in to add on to the stock particle filter to move the y pipe where it needs to go to line up the tail pipes and clear all the suspension parts.

 

If this ends up working i will just weld the short extension piece on the y pipe side and clamp the whole thing in nice and tight. It also looks like the exhaust tips will end up further back which in my opinion is where they should be anyway

 

So i finished up the exhaust this weekend. So the kit did fit with my factory 5th wheel and gooseneck hitch left installed. The kit comes with 3 pieces, the y pipe and the left and right tail pipe. The y pipe and passenger pieces of pipe fit perfect, the driverside tailpipe i ended up having to cut and weld into different angles to make it work for my truck. With that all said and done everything ended up looking very nice.

 

 

Looks good!!! I aint touching mine until I delete, which won't be until the warranty is up OR if my emissions crap causes issues, whichever comes first. So far, knock on wood, not a single CEL in the year I've had it...

 

Yea im with you there, hopefully since this is behind both the def and dpf mine is still covered too. I just liked the look and have always done duals. I will delete mine down the road as well, probably gonna be loud as hell.
