Default Towing

Hey guys,

I just got a 2006 3500 drw crew cab long bed 4x4,the truck has banks intake and intercooler, Aurora 3000 turbo. getting ready to tow about 8500lbs travel trailer 300 miles, hoping to have gauges installed by then. Not sure what egt temp to maintain. I imagine. This truck should have zero problems. If no gauges any advice. I'm use to towing with my 93 1st gen.

Thanks

No sir, thought about it but after reading most suggested keeping the truck stock til I can build the 48re trans. It also has banks 4 inch exhaust.

Honestly with the setup you have and the weight. You won't have any issues with EGT's. 8500lbs is light for a diesel. You may also want to do a better lift pump like airdog or FASS. 5.9 injector pumps are subject to failure do to low fuel pressures.
