I purchased a salvage nv273. When installed, there was no result from turning the 4wd dial. Then the grind going back to park.
I then pulled the shift motor off the replacement and swapped it with the one off the old tcase. Now it makes a noise when switching 4 high on but only flashes in 4 low. Still grinding when returning to park.

Should have put an NV271 in, that solves all of those goofy problems.
