Default 2006 silencer ring

If you have thought about taking out your turbo silencer ring. I suggest not worrying with it. I faught with it for 4 hours only to hear no difference in turbo whistle.

Do you still have the stock air box and piping runing to the turbo?

Edit: Nevermind, I just saw you have the banks system on your truck.

I guess I'm missing something. I drive a big rig and after eleven hours on the road the last thing I want is more noise with no more performance. I don't even listen to the stereo on the way home from work. When I travel I would like to be able to converse with my wife without having to yell.

it is only when I put my foot into it do I realy hear the afterburner kick in. other wise I do hear it but not that loud

heresdamanladies, that cross section inside the intake tubeing, I took my dremel and cut the lip off of each end, but leaving enough area for the rubber parts to attach to. when you have both ends cut off tak a hammer and tap it out. you will be left with a hollow tube

Ok the problem was with the cold air intake. I put a AFE stage II kit on it and like the other posts it sounds like a jet taking off.
