Default 05 or 06 3500 What did you pay

Hi All -

So I am brand new to this forum, and seriously looking at my next horse truck being a CTD powered 3500 Dodge. I have been a loyal Ford fan for years but after spending some time driving my wifes new Hemi powered 1500, what can I say, Dodge makes a very nice truck. Enough to sway me to change.

Prices seem all over the place here on the heavy trucks. What I am looking at is 3500,CTD, LWB, SRW, QuadCab, 4X4, most likley 6 speed, and the SLT or Laramie package.

What kind of prices are you all paying for your trucks ? List looks to be about 42K here in Las Vegas, I have seen dealers on the east coast with OTD prices down near 33 or 34 K

Thanks

I just bought a 06 CTD auto 4X4 SLT with light package, clearance lamps, skid plate, bucket seats(center console), Thunderroad package( Lonestar out there I think) Thunderroad package has fog lamps, sliding rear window, bright on bright grill, aluminium wheels (not clad) sirius satilite radio, underrail bedliner, folding mirrors, front tow hooks, and maybe a few other things that I dont remeber. MSRP $43678.00 got it for $35143.00 w/ the $2500 rebate and $1000 for business owner and and loyalty rebate ($3500 in rebates)
If this helps!???

There's a dealer in Kellog Idaho that sells semis but does Dodge CTD's as well but I don't know the name of it. Several people from Utah went there and saved anywhere from 5-10K on them. I understand he advertises on the internet if that helps.

That Dodge dealer in Kellog Idaho is Dave Smith Motors and they sell a lot of Dodges. When I bought mine there last fall they had a parking lot about the size of a football field full of Dodge pick ups. They claim to be the biggest Dodge dealer in the US, I think. Any way he sells by volume and I paid 38k for a fully loaded 2006, 2500 SLT, CTD with every option except the leather seats and automatic transmission. Just Google Dave Smith Motors, they sell directly over the net also. Check em out you might save some dough and they will pick you up at Spokane airport for your convenience.

Go to www.edmunds.com and price your truck out with options - then take that sheet with you. You should be able to buy at the dealer invoice price unless the dealer is a real a$$ or unless you don't like to bargain. I walked out paying $38,500 on MSRP of $47,400 for my '06, which I actually ordered at the dealer. Keep in mind that at dealer invoice, they're still making $1500 or so off you from the factory, so they should be open to the idea.

I have the exact truck you are looking for and I paid $33K last year (June 05, 3500 04.5 w/ 7K miles). I thought it was a little steep for a used Dodge, but it looks like the resale price is going up (especially with the 07 EPA emissions regualtions coming out).

I paid 35,700 for the 2500 quadcab with 8' bed , leather, GPS, SLT model 2005 ( 01/05 manuf.)
all the trimmings just about.
That price was after 2,500 rebate and 1,000 buss. owner rebate.

They offered me a 3500 for $ 1,500 more but did not like the color on that one.
No matter which one you buy, you are gonna like it... trust me, one year later I have almost 50K on it.

Good luck

Mike

I just bought a 2500, CTD, 4x4, SLT package, bucket seats with middle console, quad cab. The sticker was 42,830, I walked out paying 34,400 with a free bedliner. Couldn't be more satisfied with that deal. I bought it at Manual Dodge in Dallas, Texas. This was my second truck from them so they claimed to be "treating me special", but I feel like I could have gotten that price anyways. Another Dodge dealer about an hour from there said 34,300 with bedliner. You just have to shop around and play their games with them.
