Default SLT

This is probably a dumb question but what does the SLT on the side of the truck stand for?

Well, I don't know what SLT stands for, but it is probably nothing fancy. I had heard that the old Dodge Omni GLH stood for "goes like hell." So, who knows.

The Omni FTH was "Faster Than Hell"

The trim levels probably mean something like...
Standard
Standard Luxury
Standard Luxury Travel

Then of course there's the Laramie package, which is the highest....or was anyway. Who knows for sure though. Your best bet would be to find some OLD literature from when they first started using these as trim levels.

Back in the 'old days' those letters would mean something, now its just a trim level...doesnt mean anything.
The trim levels on todays Dodge Rams are
ST
SLT
Sport
TRX/TRX4
Big Horn/Thunder Road/Lone Star
Laramie
SRT
But.....SRT means Street and Racing Technology.

The TRX replaces last years Off Road Group.
The "4" indicates 4x4.
It's an up-sell to the SLT, just like the Sport.
