I took a 100 mile trip this weekend in the new truck and the computer said 18.0 and it was climbing. Only have 400 miles in the truck, hope this will keep going up an the truck gets older. Have not tryed the "Drews Brew" yet trying to let the motor get broke in first.[sm=gears.gif]

That might take ya while, they say they ain't broke in till 20K! I started with the "Brew" from the day I bought mine and I'm getting 19.0-22 depending on my foot.

1. Bone Stock now at 2100 miles
2. No additives
3.Auto
4. 3.73's
5. 4 x 4

First 1K miles sucked, but after that I seem to have leveled out at 17 MPG hand calculated, computer said 14.9 this was mostly all HWY driving at 70-85 MPH.

2006 Std cab 8 ft bed G56 6 speed 3:73's 4X4 Plow prep and tow package. Stock exhaust, missing silencer ring and gutted intake silencer tube. $12 at home Depot. (Two 4" long by 5" dia PVC piping adapters/connectors taped together with black duct tape.) Hey it works I May replace with a piece of stainless steel if I can find some.

18.28 MPG on my very 1st tank. 555 miles 30.36 gal with MMO+PS mix. Hand calculated filled to the very brim at start and at refill.

FYI 19.2 MPG on overhead.

My 1997 5 speed with 3:55's got 16 MPG the first few tanks. Ended up at 19-20 MPG So This one may get some respectable #'s especially after the splitter.

I just put a cap on so we will see if it helps or detracts from the MPG. Last CTD it helped on the highway a little.

Note: Gear Vendors OD on order with 22% over drive.

I suspect when the motor loosens up some after 10K miles and with the OD I may get 21 MPG I would not be surprised if I get 22 on a long haul in the flats.

8' Sno-way plow ordered with down pressure, Lexan blade, and wireless controller options.

Now for rims and snows.

I am having a hard time finding good snows for the plow truck! I am wondering if i should get 7" wide or less rims ..

17.9 MPG (currently) at 4500 miles on truck. Hand calculated. Initial mileage started at 14 MPG and has steadily improved with every tank full.

2006 Quad Cab 4X4 short bed, 6 speed manual tranny, 11.50 REAR AXLE, Cummins engine, Heavy Duty. Towing package. Standard tires. No mods. I’ve done one oil change. Mostly highway driving. First 3000 miles was hauling 1200 lbs in the bed on highways, and I deliberately varied my speed between 40 and 80 MPH. About half of this driving included hills. It should be a good break-in.

Also, I usually drive like molasses... slooowww and gooood. [8D]

How you drive makes a big difference. I once had a Chevy Camaro LT with a 350 4-bolt main, Rochester Quadra-Jet, etc. I put TRW flat top 10 to one pistons and an RV cam in it. I got 22 MPG as long as I kept my foot light! When I got agressive the mileage dropped drastically to 15 or less.

Coasting and accelerating slowly can save a lot of fuel. [8D] Let the zippy sports cars pass you. If they irritate you, you can always "soot 'em" after the next light. [:'(] My brother did this to a convertable vet (top down) in his Ford 250 power stroke. [:@] It was hilarious. No one really gets where they are going sooner by zipping around in traffic. We are all pretty much stuck with the general speed of the traffic. Trying to go faster might save 1 or 2 minutes over a 30 minute drive, but is wastes all kinds of fuel, puts loads of extra wear on your vehical, and puts your life in danger.

Jason, Sounds like you need to have you lift pump checked, then also have your MAP sensor checked. I'm thinking you may have a MAP sensor problem though.

I just got an 06' Mega cab 3.73 rear all stock . Was getting about 19.5 straight HWY. 14-15 around town. I installed the Bullydog and now get 25.3 Straight HWY at 60mph . 23.5 @70mph . 1800rpm at 70mph.

Sweeeet!! Just sweet and so fast. That is BTW set on Tow the lowest setting. I didn't check for performance or extreme yet.

Is that hand calculated or by the trip computer?
