RE: Fuel Mileage
Just got the truck friday havent had a chance to hand calc because im still on the first tank so far i reset the computer and it is showing about 16.2 with a 60/40 mix of city / highway driving. I did add the brew when i got home from the dealer. shoud fill up in a couple of days and will keep ya all posted on the mileage.
Update
went through two tanks. hand calced both the first was 16.3 and the second was 18.1 drove the same route to and from work and kept her under 70 both tanks. been using the brew the whole time.

RE: Fuel Mileage
Here is my hand calc'd mileage history so far for 2006 CTD 2500 4x4, average 15.28, the computer shows 17mpg. I'm hoping that part of this is due to rush hour stop and go traffic and that the truck isn't broken in yet.
Just in case you guys think I have bad driving habits , I've attached my mileage for my Tiburon GT which is EPA rated at 19 city / 26 hwy. Notice that I'm beating the pants off of those figures since most of this is city and on the hwy I've gotten as high as 29.96

Steve, if it makes you feel any better my last tank was 17.7. . .found the point where the TST starts to burn, 2/4 (55hp, 240tq)
that was a fun setting I could watch my whole truck lean when I got into the throttle.

RE: Fuel Mileage
Suggestions?
Have an 06 CTD Quad Cab 4x4 6Speed big horn, 11.5 axle completely stock, just hit 2500 miles, got 15.6 hand calculated MPG last tank with city/highway combination no payload, on drews brew. Made a 600 mile trip to Houston day after delivery with a 16ft trailer with aproximately 1200lbs payload and got 12.6 MPG. (70-75MPH all the way, no brew) It seems as mileage is slightly improving with break-in but am very dis-satisifed that a truck with 6 gears is turning 2300RPM at the speed limit. (70MPH) And trip PC only shows 14.5 at highway speed unloaded on the brew. What the heck was Dodge thinking? I get better mileage in stop and go traffic if I keep the foot out of it. 2nd is a little low for start off unless you're towing, 3rd-6th is very nicely geared, especially if towing, just need a 7th!! Dare I mention a Duramax on this form but our '06 chevy brush fire truck at work gets 17-18MPG with 4000lbs of water and equipment on the back with some pretty abusive driving. Otherwise I love this truck, I'd much rather push a goat than drive a duramax hence why I bought one, any suggestions for less RPM or better mileage? Thanks!!
