I thought I was getting great mileage on the highway. Onboard computer says 20.5, but hand calculated at 18.5. I keep a pretty close eye on the computer mileage and that has been consistent over 25k miles with no mods and no additives. Mixed driving the computer says 18-19. Anxious to read more about Drews Brew and see how it does, as well as new air intake and chip.
07 Mega cab equiped with the 5.9 w/ the 48re auto and 3.73 gears.
Has been getting 19.5 with nearly all highway miles.
I just got back from a 943.5 mile trip to Sandusky Ohio from Reading PA, and with Drews brew I was seeing between 20.3 and 20.5 on the highway ranging in speeds between 55 and 80. It now has nearly 5000 miles on it.
Basically....I love this truck!!!! Oh and the passangers in the back seat love it to!
Although, I didn't notice a reduction in noise with drews brew. Probably because this motor is still so new and is to damn quiet anyway! But, it really did seem to work. I was very pleased with it. Thank you again Drew!

My milage is sucking all the sudden - - ok not all the sudden I put on a 2 inch leveling kit and 35 Pro Comp tires. I've got a 4ws 3500 Big Horn edition.
Gears? Should I send it up to Randy's Ring and Pinion and just leave it for him to work out?

I just bought a 1999 Cummins this past week and so far my mileage is pretty good. The truck has 100,500 miles, 3.55 ratio, 2 wheel drive, and stock size 245/75R16 tires. My empty mileage was 20.0 city/country, with a lot of stop signs and red lights. I love the way this thing will coast for a quarter mile at 35 mph and the mpg computer show 99. Pulling my 16 ft. trailer with my commercial zero turn mower or John Deere 2320 (total weight of trailer and mower or tractor is about 2500#) on the same types of roads drops me to about 17. The roads around here are about too short to get into overdrive good with a trailer on.
