RE: Fuel Mileage
18.3 mpg on the heads up. Checkedthe heads upmanuallyseveral times, was off at first, I had the CPU reflashed to fix it, it was within a tenth or 2 after that consistently, so I quit checking it. Interestingly, when new she would run a tad over 14mpg, has beencreeping up ever since, seems to have settled in to 18.3 at 63,000 odo. 69mph 75%, 60mph 15%, around town 10%, if I had to put numbers on it. At 60mph, I'll get over 19mpg. If towing my 6000lb loadedflatbead, knocks off 1 to 2.
Came here looking for any possible mpgimprovements, sounds like I will be trying the PS/MMO mix, this is recomended somewhere here? Maybe a Bully Dog . . .
I'll be needing some new tires next year at this time, will a bigger dia help or hurt? I'm sure wider won't help, but I'm not sure I can resist that.

RE: Fuel Mileage
Gents,
I real new to the diesel scene and I'm very interested in getting the most out this 6.7. I see various "mixes" that folks use to improve mileage. Is there a link that explains what these are and their benefits? What does Drews mix consist of? MMO, grey bottle???
Thanks, Ed

RE: Fuel Mileage
before the recall reflash and new module I was struggeling to get 9mpg in town and 12-13 on the hiway. Now with the reflash and stuff I can get 12-13mpg in town. Not sure on hiway yet. Can't go far enought at one time to get a good reading. I do know it has to be better than it was though. 9mpg in town really sucks.

RE: Fuel Mileage
with an engine with low mileage it is still wearing in the rings and bearings. . .your mileage will go up. the main use for the brew is to help replace the lubricative properties diesel is supposed to have since removal of sulfur lowers the lubrocity of diesel. and yea, it does help with mileage as well. . .my mileage realy didnt level out till I was around 20-25K. . .now with nearly 52K I'm pretty much locked in high 17's to low 18's, and that is still dependent on what level I have my TST on and how largeI want mycarbon footprint to be
