Default My Poor Tuck

I had a bad day with my truck and a trailer...

To make a long story short I was pulling a small trailer and two blocks from my destination the trailer became dissconected from my truck and slamed into my tailgate..

My tailgate needs to be replaced now...

Any ideas how much a new tailgate will run me???

I will post pics when I take some

The reason I asked is I saw a newer Dodge that happened to and was wondering.
Thanks.
You may have to check out a local bone yard for one if yours cant be repaired.

do you really need the tailgate? i would go without it until i could afford it more easily. they dont have much purpose anyways, unless you haul a lot of stuff in the bed that could slide around.

I am always putting things in the bed of my truck and in Maryland it is against the law to not have the tailgate up with items in the bed.

Plus the truck looks really bad without it.....

I would check around on ebay or something. I think i remember a used one for a couple hundred dollars. Like they said though any junk yard should have a tailgate for your truck it may just take some looking around.
