Some of the pics in my gallery show 35's wit hthe leveling kit. I was still having rubbing issues at full lock on the passenger side. Other people have reported this as well. You may want to look at a 4" lift and 35's, instead of the 2" leveling kit.

yes they are 13.5's and they rub slightly on the back corner closest to the firewall. they are the pro-comp extreme at's and are a 325 60-18 in size. also stamped on the side is 33x13.5.

I just put the KORE leveling kit on a couple of days ago on my 06 3500 mega cab, and I must say I am very happy. I put on Toyo 35 12.5 17 M/T. The look is awesome and the ride even better. I have not rubbed but I could see it happening in very rare situations off road. The people at KORE are great.

Good Day EH?

I have been watching this forum for some time. I actually looked at all forums those other wanna be trucks and the Dodge forums before purchasing my CTD. This forum is by far the best of em all!! Good Job!!

Now, as for lifted trucks being from the Great White North, I work in the oil/gas fields of northern Alberta, Canada. I have seen my share of driving conditions believe me, I've seen snow, mud (lots of it) washed out roads, goat trails and the rest of it, with over 40K miles of "off road" use per year, I think I put more miles on then what most guys/gals will in 10 years in these conditions (over 25yrs of it!). What I've seen is chevys belong on pavement, fords if ya can keep em from falling apart they do ok, but my Dodge (05 CTD 3500 Quad srw) does me proud. As for lifting it? nope not going there (even though I have seen some great looking Dodges) mine is going to stay practically stock, meaning no lift. I have in the past driven lifted trucks only to spend spend spend... keeping them drivable. My experiences with lifted trucks are firstly costs, the lift itself up here cost a pretty penny, not to mention having to install new rims to allow clearances for tie rods etc. And the costs of front end work. Then there is the cost of transmission work becuase now yer pulling/pushing more meat (hard on stock torque converters) and don't forget the difference in drive line angles (even ones which claim to keep the so called OEM drive angle specs) and what about yer 5th wheel and pull behind trailers? You willing to lift them as well? With the bigger, wider tires comes bigger wider ruts sometimes getting you into bigger wider trouble, you guys ever notice what was on most WW11 vehicles? Very narrow deep lug tires those guys in the old jeep went just about anywhere, go back even further to (gulp!) ford model A and Ts they had virtually "bicycle tires" and they drove where there were no roads!

Right now my CTD has OE michilen "street" tires(gonna wear em out and buy BFG All-terrains we are now in the rainy season up north and I have yet to get stuck! With the old truck (excuse me but I was uneducated.... 03 F-250 gasser with 6" lift and 35" BFG Mud-terrains) I had a hell of a time keeping it from the "ditch witch". The only weak point on the RAM is brake rotors up here when it drys up the mud(actually clay) turns to a very fine dust hard to keep rotors longer then 25K miles! Any suggestions on a different rotor would be greatly appreciated!

As for lifting yer truck .. go for it, if your a weekend warrior you'll most likely spend most of the week end draggin broken chevys out and wrenchin on fords. Most serious off roaders are like harley owners the bike is a down payment for the accessories, the bike/truck at most times is hardly recognizable (IMO) with all the modifications and other add ons.

But I must say, if I spent less time off road I would certainly lift it ... the RAM does look great all dressed up!!

Good luck with your lift and remember "blue side up"!

EH!

While on the subject of lifting and off roading, do yourself a great favour and to help keep your truck from getting banged up. Contact an off road club in your area, use the experience from these guys/gals. Nothing is more heart breaking then going out the first time and running into a tree, rock or worse rolling!!. Seen too many people out four wheelin with no experince and getting into big trouble, they seem to think that with their lift and big tires they are unstopable, they think they can do anything go anywhere! Start off small work up to bigger things and heed the lessons learned from the experienced. And most of all smile and enjoy!!

PS don't forget tow rope for the chevys/fords they'er gonna need ya!
