Thanks. That baffle was a real mo fo, seems to be pretty tamper proof. Not as obnoxious as i had hoped. Still dig the sound.

 

Took the silencer ring off tonight and went for a drive but didnt seem to notice any difference, i have a 4.5" straight pipe exhaust too, and seems to be no difference in turbo whine???? WHY???

 

Remove the hard plastic piece from the intake and inside that is the baffle (the cross section), remove that. I had a hard time of it. It is pretty tamper proof, ended up breaking it out.

 

the easiest way to remove it is to get a dremel and cut the very ends of the beveled edge off and the while thing will slide right out.

 

I have a 2000 Ram and have taken out the ring but as I was reading over the forum I see where you talk about( TAKE THE BAFFELING OUT )Does the 2000 24valve have this you are talking about? I took the ring out and I also have the KN set up and I do have the 4" ex-haust but I would still like to get somemore WHINE FROM THE TURBO.I guess I am used of the sound from the Big trucks I drive. If not is there anything more I can try to get more

The 2nd gens do not have a baffle. Take out the ring is really easy. If you really want to hear that thing scream. Put an afe on there. I got it loud enough to hurt ears with the windows down
