Default lift pump surgery part 2

Still working on replacing my lift pump. Starter is out and this afternoon I hope to finish this. The service manual says :

"Disconnect fuel line quick-connect fitting at
fuel supply line (Fig. 57) at rear of pump."

This "quick-connect" fitting is new to me. How do you disconnect it?

Thanks.

you have to feel around a bit, but you are looking for two tabs on either side of the tube. squeeze them together and pull. it should come out.

here is a pic I found that should give you an idea

go to the 2nd gen forum and at the top there is a Merry christmas thread... download the manual and have a look at it. i started looking thru it to see if I could find what your trying to disconnect but couldnt find it easily...

on the gasers there is a tool you use to pop off the fuel line. it releases a spring that holds the line on so the connector can slide off the rail.

OK, nevermind... someone deleted the thread with the manual in it.

I finished changing the lp. I very much apprieciate the help here. The only gotcha I experienced was bleeding the system. I loosened the banjo bolt going into the ip a little too much and made a mess when I bumped the starter.

Thanks
