Default First Impressions

Well, after a few days with my new '06 CTD Quad 4x, here are my impressions compared to my '04 Ford SD V10

+ Much better overall fit and finish of body panels and interior
+ Better interior layout
+ More comfortable ride (by a LARGE margin)
+ Headlights are brighter and have a better beam pattern
+ Interior is MUCH quieter and better insulated
+ Turning radius and steering effort is head and shoulders better then the SD
+ Everything in the engine compartment is easier to get to and see
+ More interior room, as compared to my Super Cab
+ Fuel mileage so far 17 MPG with this truck, compared to 10 with my V10

and last, but not least.....

+++ THIS FRIGGIN CUMMINS ROCKS!!!!

What the heck took me so long?

Oh hey, did I say I was happy with my truck! Whew hew!

Yeah, I've seen that pic before. I thought it was some kind of hoax or a pic of a OTR truck piston.

I'll get some pics of my new baby today when I get home.

Reminds me back in the 80's I had a pair of scrapped Cummins Piston/connection rods cleaned up and used as bookends. They we around 15 pounds each.
