there are still alot of excess 5.9's in DC's storage, however they cannot install them due to emissions constraints now. from what I hear the 6.7's will hit mass production starting this monday in the Salsito plant in Mexico, when they appear on the dealer lot I am unsure of, I can imagine 45-60 days later before we start seeing them.

How long you reckon before tre EPA shuts all the old diesels(pre07) down. If we cant pass emissions then what?

depends on area and how the emissions testing is done. . .

this is straight from The Clean Air Force website for emissions testing in the state of Georgia.

What vehicles are exempt?
All model years prior to 1982 for registration in 2006
The newest three model year vehicles for registration in 2006
Vehicles that do not use gasoline such as diesel
Vehicles over 8500 pounds GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating)
Motorcycles
My Kitty went missing the next day

I will have to check South Carolinas website, betcha the laws are different here. All the tree humpers are movin to the Greenville area. TheBMW plant is the worst thing that ever happened to SC. Greenville county is trying to stop all fire place burning, They say that it causes pollution and they wont be able to attract new business growth. Federal money or some kind of crap is involved. Im outta here first chance I get

sounds like we are moving more and more closer to the Kyoto treaty[:@]

I did find this site though http://www.dmv.org/sc-south-carolina/smog-check.php

in there it says
South Carolina does not require any smog or emission inspections on vehicles. The state meets all federal clean air standards.
theres your answer
