Default outlook moniter

Hi. I'm new here and new to owning a diesel. (05 3/4 ton) This question is for the guys who have outlook moniters. Can you set it and forget it? I'm not familer with what it means to defuel if egt get to hot...does this mean that the moniter will program the pup to a lower setting?
Thanks:
Terry

I have the Edge setup and it should work the same way... if it gets too hot, the controller will de-fuel to drop power to cool it down, same with the boost and possibly engine temp.

steve' right. The outlook will defuel at the EGT temp you assign, and stay defueled until the EGT drops below that preset level. Yes, it is set it and forget it.
Cheers
Mike

I installed the outlook moniter in my 03, i haven't had any problem with it. Sorry about hearing your bad luck. Like they said before it will defuel it's self if gets to hot. When it come from b/d they will have set for you. You are able to set your temperature lower if you want to. I forget how, but the installation directions hold me how to lower temperature to desired.

it must be only on the 2005's then... i called for a hird one and the person i talked to said he would get back with me with some stuff to fax but that was 2 weeks ago...must be alot of paper work to fax lol
but i don't like how the monitor works... by that i mean the way it gets its power and also communicates with the computer through the map sensor but hey they are the engineers and i'm just a costomer
