Cool! My 1 gallon jug is almost empty lol... those are tough to find... there's only 1 walmart in our area that has it, all the others are 32 oz bottles.

I bet it's not cheep either. Like most people here, I mix mine @ home and toss it in the truck when it's almost fillup time.

I'm a new 2005 Dodge Ram SL2500 2x4 24VCTD owner and was just informed that these things chews up trannies. I've been reading the forums but have never seen anything mentioned about transmissions or towing issues. The CTD seems to pull my ATV trailer ( which when loaded weighs just over a ton ) as if it weren't there. I only have 265 miles on my new "05" but I'm still reading over half a tank with the majority of the miles being towing. I plan on running B20 in the thing to help our farmers a to "stick it" to OPEC. Any ideas?

first, the 48RE is a very good unit stock. Dodge has finaly worked out 'most' of the bugs and the unit is pretty good off the shelf. the only thing that is needed are two extra gears like the allison wannabe in the chevy's and the torque slip in the fords.

2000 pounds is nothing when the truck itself weighs in near 8000. there are plenty of guys that tow well over 12K and have no problems.

Carl, right now the best thing for you to do since you only have 265 is be easy on it right now and let the rear axel and tranny bearings seat properly, then after 500 miles drive her like you stole it. if you aint blowin smoke atleast once a tank your not driveing it right and your injectors will hate you for it

B20 is a good thing to run in these trucks. if it was more in my area I would run it and drop the PS MMO mix since the lubrication of B20 is far better than what PS and MMO is. if you can find it, run it, but watch it cause if you have run straight diesel for a few tanks, glycerine will build in the bottom and Bio will disolve it and clog the fuel filter real quick. but atleast you'll know your fuel system is clean
