Last night I had to play a little bit. power braked it and ran the RPM's up to just over 1500. Let off the brake and hammered the throttle. Roasted the tires from first thorugh second and into third. finally let off as it was getting a little carried away. That was with the 65 hp chip. I can only imagnine what it would with the q-zilla race module or something else. Man I love this CTD.

Belldar, I'm no epxert but from what I've found any of them will add to fuel mileage if you can keep your foot out of the throttle. Also miles which = break-in will help with mileage. I have 9100 on my 06 and before I added my quadzilla xzt I was getting just over 19 mpg hand calculated. since adding the q-zilla I haven't seen the mileage go up or down, but I also have been a lot harder on the throttle when passing cars or playing and roasting the tires.

I don't plan on roasting tires or anything like that just want to improve the fuel economy. My 06 CTD has about 1100 miles now.

that is usualy what it boils down to
yeah but some of us want our cake and eat it too... actually, as long as I have the cake (HP) in the fridge (on tap) i'm happy...

I agree. I'm getting over 20 mpg on the hwy with my q-zilla and can still have fun if I want to and roast the tires.

well I haven't put any tires on yet and this last trip i just took I kept my speedo on cruise at 69 to 70 mph. Filled up and when i hand checked it i got 20.2 mpg. i assume my mpg will drop some when i finally put my lift on and some 35's on some 18's. i just can't see not using up the stock tires before i upgrade.

Edit: let it be known i have the 3.73 gears in the rear and drove straight up and down the I-5 slab when i got that 20.2 mpg
