Default Economy chips

I have been reading about the different chips for power and all that but I want one just for better fuel economy, if it gives a little more power then no big deal. The CTD has probably all the power/torque that I'd ever want. Some have mentioned the quadzilla xzt ($299) and or the rek tech sensor( $75) depending where you're looking and so which is the most bang for the bucks? Do you really need to buy the monitors along with the chips just for mileage?

check into the Rotteck (sp?) cps mod... it does what the boxes do on their lowest setting, plus you have control over how much timing you add... I have a link @ work if you cant find it...

Thanks steveram, It says it's adjustable for timing, How do you adjust the timing for the best mileage?

Start at stock, calculate your mileage over a 2 week period, then advance it .5 deg, and do the same 2 week monitoring... continue this until you find out which setting works the best for your style of driving, then set it there and leave it. Although it has a total of 2 deg adjustability, you may not need it all for the best mileage.

think about it... 2 deg may benifit you more above 2500 rpms than below, whereas 1 deg may be the right advance for below 2500... you'd have to play with it and monitor your fuel over an extended period to really get an ide of what deg of advancement works best.

IMO

if it is straight mpg improvement you want then check this place out http://www.granatellimotorsports.com...wermodules.htm

They guarantee 3 mpg improvement or you money back. also 50 hp and 150 lb-ft. 3 bills but if you don't like it you can send it back and buy something else.

i seriously looked at this one before i bought the quadzilla. in the end i was after HP more than fuel mileage.

Hey guys what do you think about the EDge system with the pillar mount and all? This might allready have been answered, so if it was you can point me in the right direction. Talked to a guy yesterday that installed this and said it increased his milage on a 06 maga cab by somwere between 3 and 5 MPG. I just checked my milage hand calculated yesterday and am getting around 15.5 MPG with 700 miles on it.
