Default Water spots on windshield?

It rained this week and I noticed that when the wipes wipe there are water spots on the windshield. I just got the truck so I think these are from the truck sitting on the dealers lot. I tried window cleaner no luck. I tried a mix of viniger and water no luck. Thinking of trying CLR or some bathroom cleaner that says it removes hard water stains. I know if I use this stuff I need to be carefull and not get the cleaner all over my new truck. Just wondering if anyone eles has any ideas? Thanks

Try GSR, carried by most Napas. After wetting car, rub onto glass, let dry and wash of soap and water. Got to use force when wiping on

also home depot sells this stuff in their cleaning section called x spot... works really well to get rid of spots on all glass (shower doors included).

I also used fine steel and Invisble glass
I do this before I treat with Rain X.

Some dealers use Bon Ami to polish glass , Claybar will work too with no danger of scratching glass. I use the claybar myself.

LOL ... I STILL use newspaper when cleaning my windows. I don't know what it is about the ink and the paper, but it DOES work well. I don't know if it'll help with the water spots, but for regular cleaning it works like a dream.

Someone else mentioned BonAmi. I use that in the tub, but I didn't know you could use it on glass. I'd be afraid of scratching glass with it, but I dunno. Has anyone else ever tried the Bon Ami thing?

years ago when there was full service gas stations it was the norm to bon ami the windsheilds.. they used to use it for gas skips they would bon ami windsheilds which made it so people couldnt see or drive and they wouldnt clean it off until they got paid.. that is why in sales you will often hear you always have to do the bon ami which meant if you always do what works you will always get paid..

Bon Ami works great, got the spots off the windshield of my camaro. I have some on this Dodge and will do it soon! Fine steel wool also works.
