I humbly request your knowledge on Methanol Injection, please.
My fine friends. What a family we have here, eh? I LOVE this place, and I made it my home page. Anyway, I won a battle with the old lady today. And I want Methanol injection. Here are my questions if any of you have/had this type of injection. I am not interested in propane, just water/meth for cooling purposes.
1. Does it work?
2. What kinds of temp drops can be expected?
3. Can I physically control the unit?
I ask about control meaning, on/off, and maybe a trigger to manually experiment with it.
4. This setup can be used anytime you're luggin a hill per say?
I am confident in the responses I will get. The stuff these guys know is amazing. I thank you all in advance for your responses.
And in closing............
No offense to any, it is just a funny, funny joke.
You will find none too ofensive for me, and if you're a Liberal..............I suggest you keep off my back bumper about 50 feet or so. I found that the early morning dew, allows me to "powder coat" your Mercedes, at will. If I get really pedal heavy, I'll Rhino Liner your *** so bad, you'll need oxygen for three weeks while you're busy hawkin up Diesel Demon Loogies from you're throat......LOL.
So here's my joke:
A white guy and a black guy race thru a tunnel. Who wins?

Peace my friends......for tomorrow another one will suffer the fate, from St. Soot.

Man you crack me up !! I have no clue to your question, but these lines that you come up with are priceless. I can actually visualize you doing it.
Keep up the good work " St Soot "

1. Water/Meth works well!
2. Temps can be dropped drastically
3. The systems I have seen are on or off control, so you crank up the boost and turn on the system
4. From what I have seen most are activated at full throttle, but with diesels it may be different
5. If the system fails on a diesel I think you are OK cuz you can have the computer defuel when the EGT's pop up
My friends TwinTurbo Camaro blew it's engine when his water/meth pump failed at high boost! It detonated and went pop goes the 4 and 5 pistons.

I'm no expert but these guys are... http://www.snowperformance.net give them a call and see what they have to say. I was looking at water cooling at one point for keeping the CC & injectors clean. the kit, if i understand it correctly will tap right into my ATS manifold as the taps are already in place, ready to go.
the only downside with taking drugs is you have to refill the bottle. if you see alot of full throttle which is pretty much the only time it is used, your water meth bottle will dry up quick.
does it work. . .you bet, one of the local diesel hotrodders is pumping 1200hp from his 5.9 with 2 stages of nitrous and water/meth.
drugs are fun, but they can get expensive. but then again the BOMBing slope is a VERY slippery one. I got my TST, cought myself yesterday priceing new turbo's.

Hey Drew, I ordered an aero turbine muffler to put in front of the magnaflow. Mayfair & usafr (IIRC) both have done the install and were very pleased with the results. both mentioned that the low end torque was boosted up some. after doing some research on it I decided to give it a shot since it's still a straight thru design.
I still have the stock muffler, but the kitty ran away[8D]
Ive realy been thinking about some 5 inch chrome stacks lately. this past weekend I ran into a F250 w/7.3 that had some stacks, this thing was cherry. anyway he got on it and didnt have any smoke. I floored it past him turning day into night
might be next year before I get the ***** to put on some stacks, just need some cash first since I'm a little broke ponying up the cash to pay the rest of the tab on the cruise I'm going on in November.

sounds like the cruise is a must have. beware of the dual 5" stacks though... Bekim (sp? I think you know him) had a single 5" exhaust and lost so much low end that he couldnt take it too long...went back to a single 4". Dieselnut has dual 5's but has dual turbos pushing alot thru it.
where you going on the cruise?
where you going on the cruise?
I'm leaveing on Nov 4th. it's a 1 year anniversary cruise
Ive got some cheap work that I'm going to do on the intake tube and attempt to streamline it a bit with some 4 inch stainless. I dont like the two 90 degree bends and am going to limit it to one 90 degree going into my BHAF.
anyway, I havent had a problem looseing low end. seeing as the way the programming on the manual trucks is done, I dont have to touch the throttle when I release the clutch. the computer will fuel in order to keep the RPM's at 750. Ive even started off in 3rd and 4th but the clutch didnt like it with 4th.

Thanks for the replies and the links too. I looked at ATS Diesel, and Piers Diesel Research. I think cost wise I would use the windshield washer fluid.
I can peg my EGT gauge with a little effort. That's 1600 degrees. I only have done it maybe 4 or 5 times to show off. Never more than 10 seconds, at most. I figured this is the perfect oppourtunity for injection. I see a few systems like the Snow-something has a setup where you can control the amount right from the cab. That's what I'm talkin about.............LOL. L A Z Y me........... You old timers will remember this....... I want a hand plunger switch that looks like the old controller that used to come with your Aurora slot car set.....lol. You know, the one that looks like an electrical insulator in Grandpa Munster's labratory.......LOL.
Ok, I am gonna research some more on this subject.
