BlkRam69,

I paid $2.48 in Clear Lake 2 days ago at the Citgo and gas was $2.09 in Mason City. In Mason Diesel was $2.52 & 2.59 but gas in Clear Lake is $2.19. Heck it all comes out of the same tank farm in Clear Lake. I think they are keeping it up as the farmers are starting to harvest Soy and will start on Corn in a few weeks.

The demand, We are using more, alott more diesel due to the war (most all the vech. run on diesel & Jet A ect.), All so the rig count (drilling and work over) has increased 3 to 4 times over the past two years, My rig burns 6000 - 8000 gal's per day depending on operations.

No Drews brew,But we do centerfuge the fuel, And that is a small amount compared to the bigger deep water rig's. We or this rig has 6 - 399 Cat's around 15,000 HP. We run atleast 3 24/7. If we are pulling out of the hole (with all the drill pipe) We run more engines for the HP. Being you are pulling any were from 200k-400k pds of drill pipe (depending on how deep you are) When we are drilling you have to run Mud Pumps which have 2 1500HP elect. motores DC. Some rigs are power rigs (stright drive threw a compound or gears) and others are SCR (elec. drive motors) and AC/DC rigs, Just a brief and simple over view. I have seen some rigs burn up to 40,000 a day (Bigger ones).

You guy's can all blame me !!!

Prior to my buying a diesel truck, I believe that diesel fuel has ALWAYS been about 20 cents less than regular gas. Since I purchased my Ram, diesel fuel went up to and has pretty much stayed at or around around 20 cents more than PREMIUM !!

Buckle up ..... winter is comming and once those furnaces start firing up .......
