Default What? Another Leak? No Way......

That was the response from the Service Manager.......TODAY!

So, as I pull in the driveway tonight, I get out of the truck, open the door to let the dog outside and then I see it.

ANOTHER DAMN TRANSMISSION LEAK!

Anyways, most of you know the issues I've had with this truck.

So I figure I'd call the dealership, just to **** them off (Mayfair egg'd me on earlier, so it's his fault). They wanted me to bring it in and they were promptly told that would never happen unless DC says that I have to bring it to them for their Final Opportunity before replacing it.

Then I politely told him, "Just wanted to give you a heads up that your departments fine workmanship will not go unnoticed."

So here's the pics. Nothing special, just the additions that will be going in the file on this thing.

Ahhhhhhhhh, time to jump off the wagon again.......Woody.................Beer Me! (Cheers, for those wondering)

DAMN IT, THEY NEED TO SORT THIS THING OUT............I WANNA DO SOME DAMN MOD's!!!!

The bottom right hand picture appears to be the hose coming from the radiator, if there is red fluid on your air box that would be anti-freeze, unless the transmission is blowing fluid everywhere then you would have it on top of the motor also. My previous experience is that if you knock the hose loose on the radiator it will leak anti-freeze everywhere. The hose is only glued on if its knocked loose you have to put a clamp on it. Same thing happened to my 04 blew anti-freeze everywhere. I'm just going off the picture of the air box you may still have a transmission leak.

Yeah, those bottom 2 are of the coolant leaks. There is another one on the left side of the engine (as you are sitting in the truck). I couldn't get a good shot of it. I just put those in there because I had the camera out. Those are already in the letter to DC.

All the other ones are tranny leaks.

the coolant issue is something that can easily be solved with a zip tie or a clamp. the turbe is just on there with no clamping force to hold it in place. it needs a clamp of some kind so your resivoir tank doesnt go dry.

the others look like a fine time to tell the dealership it is time to upgrade to a mega cab if they cannot get their heads out of their 4th point of contact.

must be your mechanic.

One thing I absolutely refuse to do is put a band-aid on a $40K truck, other than to get it from point A to B in a pinch. I'll nickel and dime the dealership until they make it right at this point. I mean come on.......they've replaced the ENTIRE driveline so far and they still can't get it right. [:@]

But on the second point......yeah, I'm feeling an upgrade is in order. [sm=badbadbad.gif]

Naaaah, I had one of the MegaCabs as a loaner during one of the previous dealership trips. It was a little too big for my uses. The QC fits me pretty much perfect. The MC just didn't quite strike me right. It looks too disproportioned for me. Now, on a SB DRW, it looks FRIGGIN AWESOME!

I agree on your point with the MC's... they look odd to me.
