SWEET!!!

Welcome to DF...

yeah, the best thing you can do for it is after about 500 miles, drive it like you stole it, dont baby it the CTD motor does not like it much. you can add the "Drews Brew" as we call it... 16 oz of Power Service Diesel (PSD) & 8 oz of Marvel Mystery oil (MMO), it's good for keeping the injectors clean and lubricated (as well as everything along the fuel path... plus it's good for 1~3 mpg better.

Your mileage may suck for the 1st 15~20k miles unless you tow heavy, the rings need time to seat and love having a load on the motor... building boost helps seat the rings better. Stay away from synthetic motor oil for at least 25~30k miles, I'd wait 35k.

hope this helps some, nice looking truck!

Great! I saw people talking about Drews Brew but didn't know what it was. Is this something you recommend on every fillup? If so, I'm assuming you buy this stuff by the case somewhere? My truck only had 23 miles on it at time of purchase, so it's got a lot of breaking in to do. My buddy told me the first thing I need to do is buy rear wheel well liners since Dodge stopped putting them in a couple years ago. Where do you recommend buying parts online? Thanks for your help!

As far as the liners go I went to the dealer for mine. Couldnt find them on line and a local 4X4 shop wanted $125. Went to Dodge and with tax ran about $90 I think. Quick, easy install and adds (IMO) a finished look to the truck.

As far as other mods go more than a few people are checkin out Verocious for mufflers / resonators (Aero Turbine). Nice addition to the truck without getting too radical. Great sound and not too loud, just right.

I went through Extreme Diesel for most of my mods (exhuast, downloader). Happy with the service and prices are competitive.

Another great resource for Dodge Diesel specific items is Genos Garage. Great people and service.

Welcome and congrats!

Get a 32 oz bottle of PSD and re-use it. I refill mine (have 2 32 oz bottles I use) from a 96 oz container i get at walmart. I also get the 1 gallon containers of MMO @ walmart as well.

I recently crunched the numbers and even at $16 for PSD & $12 bux for the MMO, as long as you get ~.75 mpg better per tank, it pays for itself each tank. typically I get 1.0 mpg better.

I also have the 2UG package and I don't have rear wheel well liners on mine and it is not listed on the window sticker. I do wish that they had included them from the factory [sm=boohoo.gif]

i11m10c02, Does it say they're included on your window sticker? How do you know their included in the 2UG package?
