Little help please
This is crazy but true.
I keep my "Drew's Brew" in a small gas can. The gas can has a spring loaded top that you rest on the edge of the filler neck of the truck to open. Well tonight when I was putting a little "brew" in the truck when the gas can broke and shot the top into my fuel tank. So now I have a full tank of diesel with a plastic top in it.
How screwed am I?

I'm not sure what the intake looks like, but I would guess there is a screen in there. I bet you'll be ok. I would wait till the tank gets empty and drop it so you can fish it out. I'm no expert, but I bet someone here will have more info for you.
If you have 4 jack stands, and are a skinny, flexible runt, get yourself a good size mirror, disconnect the fuel and return line, plus the wiring harness, unscrew the float assembly cover, pull it out, and use the mirror to see the cap. It will be there. It can also get hung up in the float assembly for the fuel gauge.
BUT, all that is pending...lol See below....
I'm assuming of course that the newer Rams don't have that little flap where the fuel nozzle goes?
And right below that, in the downpipe, is a check ball in case the vehicle rolls on it's side. Are you sure there's not one of those either? If so, your cap may only be that far. You'll find out when you go to fill your tank, and because of the blockage, diesel will rocket out past the nozzle and cover you like gay on Liberache.........lol. I have a 95. It HAD that nozzle flap and check ball.
Good luck.

I have been called alot of things in my life. Skinny is not one of them. I am north of 250lbs. So I will see what happens next time I fuel up. If I take a bath in diesel I will have no choice but drop the tank and fish it out. If that is the case I will also do the fuel tank mod that has been talked about.
Thanks for the input guys.
