I have an 06 crew cab, auto 4X4 cummins... I had a bully dog power pup chip set on the 75 horse setting, I just put a magnaflow muffler on it and took it 600 miles to get an older tractoer. I use the drews brew mix in every tank. I was not impressed on the mileage i get. On average the best i got was 12 or 13. What is up with this. I should be gettin 16 at least. Before i put the muffler i on was gettin 16 average travelin to work 20 miles away. Anyone have ne ideas on what is going on?? I know most guys with the same truck and setup prolly average at least 18 or sumtin.... so what did i do wrong or what could be the problem??? Any help would be great. I love my truck to death and love the power but i can't stand the bad fuel mileage. Sumtin needs to be done...

Justin, I have the mega cab 2wd, It was getting 18.1 mpg @ 72 mph off the show room floor & before my Bullydog (Triple Dog). Know I get 22.1 mpg @ 72 mph, I have 6200 miles on my truck know. This is calculated filling it up to the breem and noting the milage, And then the next fill up doing the same and saying gals/miles=mpg. (I just put that thier to let everyone know I'm not going by the computers mpg) This is ALL HWY miles with 45 psi in all the tires to and from work, I drive 400-500 miles each trip offshore. Around town it is up and down so much I do not even check it.

welcome to df...
having the BD on 75 hp will kill mileage as the 75 hp setting is going to dump more fuel, add the magnaflow exhaust which takes out all your backpressure and you'll kill it some more. this is exactly what happend to me, I currently have just added an aero turbine muffler in place of where the cat used to be (removed with the mag install) in hopes of bringing back some low end torque and some of the mileage AND still keeping awesome flow. seems to have worked. the mileage factor is still undetermined since the aero install.

My 06 QC has just a hair under 5K on it and I have been getting a solid 17.0 back and forth to work with Drews Brew, truck is stock. Now, last week I ran a tank of the new fuel and noticed a slight drop in fuel milage. I was pulling the boat though, but I only got about 13.8 out of that tank. Some was not however highway miles.
