Dbt86001,

I started using it with 180 miles on my truck and have use it every trank with out fail. I'm now at 10,700 and have had not problems with this mix. Now go out and buy some and enjoy knowing your helping your injectors and getting some extra MPG.

Mayfair

The first time you use it use a full 16/8 mix then on your next fill up of 25 gallons try a 12/6 mix and see how it does over the course of say 4-5 tanks of fuel. You can always go up or down to suit your needs.

I just sat down and calc'd my MPG back to day one (I have always kept a log) and my average MPG has been 14.3... The overhead has never indicated more than 12.5, and even if I add the 6% that my speedo is off due to tires, the overhead would still be showing 13.3 max - one reason not to trust it and to keep a log. But even at the "real" MPG, I think I'll try a brew here one of these days - like Mayfair I'm kinda chicken to add stuff that isn't prescribed by Cummins - but based upon what I'm "hearing" in this thread, I don't think I can go wrong...

Mayfair,

When in doubt always read back a few post to find out what was going on and also what you had to say in your post. All I did was answer the question you asked and Jankbrake clairfied it for you [sm=laughat.gif]

Now to hear from the heritic.

My worst tank economy = 14.006 MPG
My best = 19.514
Lifetime average = 16.283
Last tank = 17.599 - Included towing my camper about 60 miles round trip at 65 - 70 MPH through the foothills of upstate SC.

The last three tanks have been additive free, and also my best economy tanks as well. The three before that were using Lucas. For several tanks before that I ran the brew (about 2 gals of the brew used at 16/8 ratio). Now my truck is at 11300 miles and so I am still getting better mileage all the time, but I have had my best results out of a tank of ULSD the next best were out of a tank of B20, both of which should get worse mileage. I am staying away form additives until my mileage stops getting bettter, then I will revisit. The only change to this strategy will be if my morning miss and smoke return. Then it will be what solved the problem for me Lucas. My $0.02 worth.
