WOW all of these filters seem to do pretty much the same job and it looks like ALL of them work !!

Are you going to get one? If so, which one and why that one over the others?

I think I'll try the TP type on my Mercedes. Like I said, seems to work just as well, and dirt cheap filter changes. The other filters run $25-$35 each and amsoil recommends changing every other oil change if I read right. The TP version does have a bit of a cheat built in. You end up adding a quart of oil at every TP change, for the obvious reason. The good news is this keeps your additive levels up.

Hello people,

New to the forum, just bought a brand new 06 Dodge 2500 quadcab 4x4 Silver with the CTD and the automatic witch is making me wonder if I should of went with the 6spd. Anyways I am also looking in to getting a external bypass filter setup. I work at Kansas city Peterbilt and we have an account setup with Filtration Systems FS2500. There office is about 15 minutes from my work. I talked to the owner yesterday and he is supost to bring down his 2006 Dodge Megacab CTD with the FS2500 allready installed so I can take a look. We have a customer that has a fleet of trucks and they run these setups on all there Petes. From what the owner told me there record now is a Ford Powerstroke with 600,000 miles pulling a fifthwheel and the motor has never been touched.

the auto is a good choice, you would get rather annoyed at the high RPM's the 6spd would run to get to highway speeds.

Huh? Doesn't the 6 speed have overdrive? I was thinking I wanted a 6 speed.
