RE: oil filter, diesel with clean oil?
"For optimal performance of the Frantz Oil Cleaner/Filter, it has always been recomended to use a 2 ply 500 sheet per roll, facial quality Toilet Paper. The purpose for these specifications is so that you will obtain the most densely packed roll of TP available. If you cannot find a 2 ply 500 sheets per roll in your favorite grocery store, we suggest that you try the comercial or janitorial supply companies to find some. If you still cannot find or buy any, we do have it for sale either in four packs or by the case! We have also heard that a 1 ply 1000 sheet TP has also worked(Scott 1000)." From Frantz

Lol, yeah, that's kinda how I started out looking at them. First link is the guys that own frantz now. Second is a guy, completely independant, running them. He has oil tests and all.

RE: oil filter, diesel with clean oil?
$145 for the canister alone, $200 for the whole kit plus 8 refills. I really like the $0.70 filter change part. Think how long the stock filter could safely last if it was only required to take out the chunks. And oil changes could be extended somewhat. How much would depend on oil analysis numbers. I'm thinking change the TP every 2000 miles or so, though I'll probably only put 500 miles on the first roll. Part curiosity and part soot load even after a fresh oil change. Now this is on my 1982 3.0L Turbo Diesel Mercedes. It's a fair amount cheaper than a 2002 cummins Ram. I'm considering something like the fs2500 for a truck. Unless the results on the mercedes are just too good.
