My CTD is my idea of drving a Hybrid. Hey I should be able to get a commuter lane pass cause I don't burn any gas! LOL.

I got my CTD to:

- Pull my boat
- **** off my crazy leftist green neighbor
- So I can pay a fortune for crappy CA diesel fuel
- Listen to the Turbo Wind up
- Shake my wife's ***** over rough pavement (and mine too!)

Daily driver. I had a little V8 Dakota with 5-speed, it was fun, but averaging 14mpg just sucked. So, now I get 17mpg+ and I can haul whatever I need to when asked. Mostly for friends and such, hauled the in-laws restored GMC for them when they moved, hauled 6-tons+ of wood pellets for a friend. I enjoy being utilitarian.

Mine is a daily driver, tows the jeep(s) to the trails, hauls the firewood in the winter, wakes everybody up when i pull out early in the morning, beats most any rice burner, eats rear tires, and gets me anywhere, and i absolutely love it.

I actually laughed when I read this. My neighbor asked me one day why I didn't own anything that didn't wake up the dead. Between my Harley's and my truck, I neer realized that I didn't have anything quiet.

Difference was though, I was waking them up when I was comming home at night, not in the morning, although sometimes it's early morning.

My "green" neighbor hates big trucks, especially diesels. I love going out in the morning (and if I time it just right) joining the little diesel idle club we have going. I have two other neighbors, one with an older Ford 7.3 powerstroke and one with a chevy Duramax 6.6. Clunk, Clunk, rattle rattle rattle (the Clunks are from da Ford). LOL.
