Kicks the rpm up to around 1000 insted of 600 for faster warm up in the mornings and for running pto's. If the ecm doesn't have the option, I think I have come up with a way to do it.
I don't know about the new engines. I know the older 444's would idle up and down bassed on temp. I'm thinking what I will do is install a resistor to match what ever rpm I want with a switch so when I flip the switch on it idles up and when I flip the switch off it idles back down.
they idle up to 1000 rpm until the engine warms up or you take it out of park then it drops down to normal it seems like 20 degree air temp is where it kicks in
My 02 has the high idle feature and it will idle back down when warm but it,s not like the newer version that is controlled by the cruise control, still want a exaust brake to provide aload on the engine to speed the warmup and reduce cylinder wash.[8D]
