Default one thing I hate about my truck!

I purchased my truck in Apirl of this year. The clock now reads 19,567. Power is awsome, build quality is great, looks great, sounds great, blah, blah, blah. I could go on for ever about everything except...........

driving on the highway (70mph), going through a turn and hitting bumps......damn thing twitches like a crack head needing a fix. I would say it is borderline out of control.

Anyone else?

Tonneau Cover?

Seriously, though - isn't this the dreaded wobble or whatever that people have complained about before? I've not experienced it, but then I put the lift with new suspension parts on it right after I bought it, so maybe just didn't give it a chance to happen. But I'd be surprised to find out that an aftermarket change would actually improve upon something like the suspension...

no, for me it was the back end jumping. adding the 100 lbs of the tonneau kinda weighed the back down enough to make it much better.

the death wobble is not something you ever want to experience... you'll think the front end is falling apart and your gonna crash. max caster... max caster... max caster ... .fixes it 99% of the time.

Guess I've been blessed...
The first people I talked to about adding a lift kit told me the front end didn't need to be realigned after - needless to say I didn't buy from them - which may be what saved me from the wobble. And we've got some nasty rail crossing round these parts...

I found out about the death wobble in a single axle dump truck. It had a bad shock on the passenger side and the tie rod ends were way to sloppy, I hit the railroad tracks doing about 40 and had to cut across a lane of traffic onto the sholder before I got her to a stop. All you can do is try to hold the truck straight and dont jam on the breaks.

AHHH THE DEATH WOBBLE Funny how this term is so well known with Dodge.. I have a skyjacker 6" lift. After installing that I got to experience the DEATH WOBBLE at 65 on the freeway. All it took was a small bump and the front started hopping. FREAKED me out. Slowed down and stoped and started back up everything was cool till the next bump.

Now for the fix DT products maks a track bar that will fix this issue I have had mine for 5 years and havent seen it since. Once again dodge has cut a corner on us. The joints on the factory bar are trash. Dont fix the old bar just install a new DT bar and forget about it. A little expensive though like 350 I think.

I had the stocker on (new) and when i did the alignment, added the max caster to it. went with slightly bigger tires and still never had an issue.

I've got a double set of steering stabilizer shocks - I wonder if that keeps my Skyjacker front end from wobbling...I know with the larger wheels and tires - unsprung weight - you need more holding it back...
