Default First tank of Drews Brew inproved my milage...

Well, Im sold. My first tank of Drews Brew and I went from 13.9 to 14.5 already. That was one of the best things I have done so far, it's already paying for it self. Thanks guys! [8D]

I put it in over the weekend, but I haven't filled up yet to see how it's working. The truck does seem a bit quieter now, or maybe it's in my head. It DID chew up the plastic in the measuring cup though which worried me a bit.

I don't think I've ever seen 15mpg. My dad said that he used to get about 17 with my truck, but he lives in the country and I live in the city.

I'm also a little heavier footed I think.

Yep !!

Ladyfriend didn't appreciate it thats for sure. I thought I could use it, clean it, and put it back before I got snagged.

oops ....

So it's normal to rip up certain plastics? I was going to test it on some rubber this weekend to see if it's also damaging my hoses.

Completely different. The hoses and stuff are made with materials to resist solvents (petroleum products). The ones in the kitchen tend to melt- makes a great homemade napalm

When I went back to Colorado in June I averaged 15.9, and I dont do enough highway driving to get awesome gas milage, but everyone I have talked to says that as they break in the milage will go up. True?

It's true.. I do lots of city driving myself and average in the high 14's now (it has improved).. On the highway recently, I got 18.5 + (wasn't expecting so high either since I had been getting high 16s) so I was VERY pleased.

Yup, is true. Hitting 13.5 off the lot with 9 miles on it back in Feb. Now I hit 20.2 consistantly running empty (with the brew, about 19.5 without) with 32K on her. Of course, I'm still stock so that may make a difference.
